Err... G'Day... I'm not sure if i'm posting this in the right forum (someone please tell me if I'm not), but I need some technical help/advice with a tape-measure prop I'm working on... I've finished preliminary calculations, & have constructed a prop that I hope will function as a reliable tape-measure within Poser 4 3D space... That is, allow someone to measure distances in Imperial (feet & inches) or Metric, & thus the overall dimensions of any object for purposes of realistic scaling or floor planning... Now, I don't know if anyone has done this particular thing before, & I can't recall seeing anything similar apart from the props to measure figures created by AMc (?) some time ago in the Free Stuff section... Again, someone please tell me if I've re-invented the wheel... I don't have a website as yet, but am capable of E-Mailing the files (about 17 KB in .zip format) to anyone willing to act as a Beta-Tester. By that, I mean someone who'll be willing to check my calculations over as well as test the prop, & tell me if I've stuffed them up as well... To that effect, the .zip file will contain a pz3 file, & two text files, one of which is a generic readme with 'Fair Usage/Copyright' notes & some short notes on problems I've already encountered, while the other text file is about the calculations involved... The eventual Goal, is to release this beastie in the Free Stuff section & let it run wild... Anyway, to reply to me personally, remove all SPAM from the following E-Mail address dbmacphersonSPAM@uqSPAM.net.au Yours, the character known as DBM... P.S. New to posting messages on these sort of boards as well, please bear with me & any mistakes I make... Oh yeah, since I'm in Australia, this message may have a strange posting date on it...
