Given what's been going on during the past few weeks in this forum, I did not feel this subject to be OT. I think Renderosity needs a "Read, Comprehend, Think First, Post Later" rule similar to that of other boards. We've slammed other members whose words were taken grossly out of context. We've crucified the innocent along with the guilty in matters of intellectual theft. We're seeming more and more to get off on fueling hostility amongst the members of this community. The kind of venom that's been popping up lately against long standing members of these forums is approaching the levels of the character assassinations taking place during the PFO/Renderosity split a few years back. A lot of talented contributors to the Poser Community were villianized in that fiasco because they took the reins and tried to pull the community together against the wishes of a few people who felt they needed to fuel the rift. I love a good heated debate as well as the next person, but flaming individual members of the community who have not done anything wrong (or intentionally wrong) is not good debate, it's mud slinging. Given what's happened to the PFO, this is one area where I honestly believe in the laws of Karma. I had to say it. However, I predict this post will end up being a yet another soapbox for more unmoderated self-righteousness.
