I guess I should probably excuse myself since I'm already selling a very similar product. ;-)

Alleycat.. I am very well aware of your poses at Daz.. and I am currently in a legal dispute with them concerning your poses. I Had submitted mine first..and yours are not only simular to mine.. but in seveeral cases virtually identical. My dispute claims can be proven. I had hoped to keep this mess out of the public and between us, But I am fully prepared to validate my claims concerning these files. As to to why I have waited so long to finally have them tested again, and put them on the market...is because after spending many long hours of my time in creating them..I feel I have the right.I would suggest that you speak with Steve and Dan over at Daz If you Think I do not have a claim worth pursuing. I do have a lawyer willing to take this matter into court if needed..but I would prefer that it be settled in a resonable and adult manner.Thank you:)

Whoa! FanDancer, slow down. I didn't make any claims against you, nor had I seen your poses before I submitted my set to Daz3d over two months ago. I've been selling facial expression sets through daz3d for over a year now. Every time they put out a new model, I put out a set of facial expressions for them. Lately they have been asking for more rounded sets so I decided to throw in some eye poses, body poses and hand sets with them. I really don't follow what other people are making, people have been copying the idea for my expression sets since I put out my first set. You are certainly welcome to put your set out and sell them anywhere you like. I don't have an exclusive right to make poses and neither do you. Look around you in the marketplace, there are dozens of pose sets for Mike and Vicki from lots of artists. I have no intention of taking any legal action against you, why would I? If you are accusing me of stealing from you, you'd better be damned sure you know what you are saying because that is a lie plain and simple. I don't steal work or ideas for products from anyone, I never have and I never will. But if you really believe I stole these from you, how would I have done that? I'm just curious because I don't believe we've ever had any contact, and I know you haven't sent me any files. So where would I have seen these poses of yours? Geez fella, mine have been out for months and I'm not accusing you of stealing mine am I? DAZ3D hasn't said one word to me regarding your "alleged" submission prior to mine, nor did they inform me of any competing products when I submitted mine. I think you need to relax a bit and double check your facts before you accuse me of stealing again. I never accused you of the same.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hey, you two, can you take this somewhere private, please? I think there's been enough stress on this forum recently. Thankies.

Alleycat169 posted Sat, 27 April 2002 at 10:41 AM

Hey, I'm not starting anything. I didn't accuse anyone of anything. I'm just saying loud and clear for the record that I have not and would not steal from anyone, period. I don't know where FanDancer's accusations are coming from, but since she brought it out into the light of day I think they should be disproven in the light of day as well. Damage is being done to my reputation for no reason and I am entitled face my accuser. I'm contacting Steve Kondris from Daz3d's brokering dept. in hopes that he will clear this up for us. I have no intention of starting a flame war over this, but I will not be labled a thief by anyone.

FanDancer posted Sat, 27 April 2002 at 11:59 AM

Alleycat..before this issue becomes too heated and turns into an out and out flame war...lets both cool down and sit back for a minute ok? First.. after having read my reply to your post I can see why you would would feel that I am directly accusing you of theft. It was not my intentions to publically accuse you of theft. And for that I apologize. However, I do have an issue with Daz that has been heated and very upsetting.I agree that you should contact Steve Kondras. He owes Both of us an explaination. As for my poses, I can back up all my claims without even thinking on it twice. I am a reasonable person...as I believe you are yourself. So let's take this issue private. I was tired when I posted last night and took offense when you posted a link to your product in this thread. That doesnt excuse the heated reply I made, but I would be more than willing to contact you directly and see if we can work this issue out between ourselves.Something that I should have done to begin with. Would you be willing to let this issue rest for the moment (in a public forum)so that we can contact each other and discuss it?

Alleycat169 posted Sat, 27 April 2002 at 12:25 PM

Fine with me, I'm very cool headed about this because I have nothing to hide. I just don't understand your "claim" about my poses. I made mine, you made yours. If there is any similarity between them it is purely coincidental, and I will back that up any day of the week. I've never seen yours, and I believe you if you say you never saw mine. So let's both agree that we had a similar idea at the same time, no harm, no foul. Feel free to contact me in private if you like to discuss this. Like I said, I have nothing to hide.

FyreSpiryt posted Sat, 27 April 2002 at 5:28 PM

I didn't read FanDancer's message as saying anything against Alleycat. I read it as sa having issues with Daz, and assumed that had it had to do with Daz brokering a very similar product that had been submitted later than sa's without an explanation. Um, to make sure that last sentence made sense, I read it as being an issue with Daz about the brokering procedure or some such, not with you about the poses themselves. So, if it helps feelings at all, neither of your reputations were damaged in my book. ^_^;;; Just wanted you both to know that.

FanDancer posted Sat, 27 April 2002 at 6:06 PM

Thank you FyreSpiryt.. Thats exactly the issue I was trying to put across..but unfortunately it didnt come out that way...Thus the apology and request to take it private. Its hard to speak your mind sometimes without it coming out wrong and causing debates or hurt feelings or accusations. That certainly wasnt my intent. Thank you for seeng it that way:)
