I love that Camera Prop.

The camera looks great, but how do they roll it across the floor?
VIDandCGI posted Sun, 28 April 2002 at 5:01 PM
it'll most likely have rollers in the four sections that come out at the base. These are usually cut all the way through or embedded in the centre. Just guessing as this is how most cams are done unless you look at oldercheaper models which seem to be sat on great big nasty exposed castors.
VIDandCGI posted Sun, 28 April 2002 at 5:02 PM
in fact i just took a closer look and you can actually see the wheel poking out at the base in the foremost section at the base.

About 3 years back, a woman walked through the "open gaming" area of Origins with a mechanical monkey on her shoulder. The monkey was moving all over the place. I was the only one at our table who even noticed the monkey. The rest of the table (all males) could probably have told you her cup size. ::deep sigh:: There are a lot of jiggly women, but so few really good animated pets. Carolly

Hey ... the camera looks terrific, where did you get it from ???
steveshanks posted Mon, 29 April 2002 at 4:17 AM
Thanks everyone ;o)....its got huge big ball bearings under it :o) i'm not sure if thats the correct way to move them but I used to have a similar stand when i was engineering and it had feet like that so it seemed a good way to move it and save on polys ;o)......Steve

Be nice if we could see more of the camera instead of, as usual, having a naked broad at centre stage. ::sigh:: BTW: Carl -- what a great line..... :)

To tell the truth, I'm much more impressed with this second image than the first. Now I can really see the camera and the incredible detail in it. But really, doesn't it get a little tiring to have to have a naked woman in the image to get any attention to your work? Not turning this into an anti-nudity flame war, but jeez..... give it a break, folks! Ya seen one tit, ya seen 'em all. They don't change all that much, at least not in PoserLand. Now, about this camera.... this is a future PW release, right? Looking forward to it.
FishNose posted Mon, 29 April 2002 at 3:11 PM
Hey, VS, now you're being really, really boring! When you've seen one tit, you have NOT seen them all. And that was never the point anyway.... Give it a break yourself! :o] :] FishNose
VirtualSite posted Mon, 29 April 2002 at 4:05 PM
When you've seen one tit, you have NOT seen them all. To which I can only say, "Uh, right." And that was never the point anyway I know I'm going to regret this, but... so what would be the point anyway?
FishNose posted Mon, 29 April 2002 at 4:22 PM
The point was, I'll guess, that Steve was having a bit of fun with us, heavily tongue in cheek - he DOESN'T need to have a naked dame in his renders to get our attention, he gets it anyway, but he put Vicki in for the hell of it. And that's the way it should be. A lighter vein, a little irony, a little tongue in cheek goes a long, long way. Doesn't it? :o] Believe me, my name 'FishNose' doesn't have its origins in Monty Python for nothing.... :] FishNose

Steve was having a bit of fun with us, heavily tongue in cheek Ah. Right. Colour me really embarrassed for not seeing something so incredibly obvious. I should be forced to render 25 naked Vickies for that, y'know? (Ewwwwwww..........)

Ok... VS we're waiting for the renders....:) Ed
