In the wishlist you mentioned the pain it was to export greyscale pictures from the terrain editor so I thought I post a new thread so you would see this. Go into the terrain editor and select the picture tab. Click copy then go into your image editor (photoshop, photopaint, etc) and create a new blank canvas then paste the pic from the terrain editor. It will be 128 X 128 but you can resize it to whatever dimension you need. I resized it to 1024 X 1024 without much degradation.
