I think I found my answer in the Display Material summary. And I got the answer to loading textures as bump maps. sigh the trials of learning a new program. But it's working out!!! :) Even though I've found some answers, further tips are welcome

try loading poser pz3's instead of the obj's. vue 4 imports pz3s no problems

heyas; if you're brave, you can use the material summary instead of poking about messing with each individual body part material. save first, because the summary has been known to cause crashes. in the summary, you'll find one entry for each material (ie: skin, pupil, lips, etc etc). you can edit them there.

Be sure you have updated vue, and like Jaqui said, first save your poser figure as pz3 then import the pz3 file into vue.

The above is a pz3 imported. I'm trying to use the Vue material-ing to create a wet look for the Poser figure. To do that, I wanted to make a mixed material. The summary seems to be working out. I'm still curious about the material split. Has anyone else worked with it? Doesn't look like Vue has parametric or UV mapping like Poser and Bryce.
