You sit on the bus (like I did the other day) and look at a good looking woman and think, 'darn, if I dialed Vicki2's SoftenHips to -1, I'd get theose lovely angles! - along with about 110% hip yScale - yeah, and some WaistNarrow... And her face, well, LipFullLo and FaceHeart for sure.... And then with a start I suddenly realised what I was thinking - Ick, I've got it bad! :] FishNose

I cannot look at a fashion magazine anymore without muttering "That's a Vicki, that's a Stephanie, oh man if I could get Michael to do that." I won't glance at any of my furnishing catalogs anymore because I want all of it in Poser. I am actually UV mapping it in my mind-- and I dont know HOW to UV map. Actually this is a giant step up from wanting a $1400 table in your own house. Emily

Ron, I wish I would bite my tongue more often-- I can see my friends eyes glazing over, even on the phone! But they like the pics I send them. Emily

heyas; okay, so how many of you have been slapped yet? ;) (gee, lady, all i wanted was to see if your buttocks crunched when you sit like that!)

I've had tabasco sauce thrown at me. :( A young black woman had extremely intricate braids and I guess I was staring at them too hard for her comfort. (It was also really late being the small hours of the morning, and she may have been prickly at the time.) Carolly

I've literally looked around and said, "Gee that needs better textures to look realistic!" then realized I was outside, looking at a real tree.

I saw a dead ringer for posette the other day. And I had seen the Matrix the night before - kinda creeped me out :) You know you've been texturing too much when you look at a dress on 5th ave and think "Needs more gaussian blur on the pattern - oh wait. That's Dior." Reality is for the feeble minded. Lyrra

L... and I thought I was the only one bad enough to be like this hehe.. everytime i see my friends or workmates I spend the next hour or so wondering how I could whip up a quick lookalike on my lovely little sparkly poser4 with only minor tweaking.. the most disturbing thing really is that pretty much everyone I know is all too easy to makeL.. I don't know... maybe I like to keep my friends simpleL

"reality - what a concept!" - Robin Williams ??
FishNose posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 4:15 AM
"Reality"? No, that must be a Monty Python invention. :o] Anthony - I actually remember that thread.... been here too long. :] FishNose
bikermouse posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 5:17 AM
Was that an African Monty Python or an European Monty Python? Actually the quote was from "Mork & Mindy". the only question I had was whether Robin Williams came up with it himself or whether it was written for him.

Oh, gosh, yes!!! There's a local newswoman here in Portland who has Vicki's transmapped flip hairstyle. I see these things everywhere I go. Everything I look at somehow relates to Poser for me. My sister and I were on the bus a while back and we were looking at things out on the street and saying things like, "Oh, hey, I could do that with Mike!" or "Isn't that one of Kozaburo's hairstyles?" or "I wonder if we could create that in 3D Max for Poser." I guess I've been Posering too long. I go way back to Poser 2, about what five years now? I'm infected bad! Melanie
FishNose posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 12:44 PM
Kate, you need a bigger scanner! And sedatives, for the kids, so they keep still! LOL! :o] :] FishNose
KateTheShrew posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 12:56 PM
I tried that but their mother caught me and took away the sedatives sigh she's such a party pooper. =) Kate (looking for that rubber mallet she uses to upholster furniture...)

Melanie - I had Poser2 but it was a huge disappointment - I tried it two or three times, was disgusted and just put it away..... thinking, well, maybe next version. And P3 was a big improvement, for sure. That was fun. Then when P4 came it was a revelation!!!! I mean, transmaps, WOW! So one wonders, how bad are we all going to be when we get P5? I shudder to think..
Lyrra posted Sun, 05 May 2002 at 3:25 PM
I feel old. I had poser 1. They didn't even have an upgrade to Poser 2! I had to cough up my ... what was it.. $60 bucks? again. And then poser three, and actually made a picture with a poser figure in it (instead of just using the program to figure out light angles for RL drawing) Hmmm. wonder if I have the picture anywhere. And then there was poser 4. And Bryce 3/4/5. And photoshop 6. Time? free time? what's that? :) Lyrra
