Over the years I have collected many objects from the web, Allways I deleted the Txt-file , because I was sure, to never use the objects for commercial purposes. Some of them were changed by me, new textured, mapped and converted from dxf or 3ds to poserprops. Now i am soon finished with my Tavern as my first free Roomprop and want to let many props for the Tavern follow. Some are my own creations, some are collected freebees but the copyrights are lost. Has anybody a good idea to handle this in the correct way for a accompanying textfile ? Greetings, Webbird sorry for my english, first time i have tried a translation site, not very good but funny :O((( :O))

I appreciate your situation. I can only say that if it were me I would only upload work that was 100% my own or that had the clear permission to do so from the original creator. My feeling is that just changing format or applying a new texture does not make it public domain. I think its good that you are asking beforehand rather than just pressing on regardless.

You might try posting a picture of the work to your website and then invite Renderosity members to your site to see if they can help you. It would be helpful, if in the future, artists would post their readme in a file that in the file name identifies what it should be linked to.

It is unfortunate, that i cannot provide this way more beautiful free props for Poser.Particularly for those without the possibility to create their own. But i agree and thank you for your advise. However BAM inspired me to an idea. Maybe i open a thread here with a sample-picture of the Props and afterwards ask whether someone recognize its pieces and gives me permission to give it away as prop, with reference to the their creator.
