I tired to make a Free Form, I mean spline, object in Carrara using the same technique I use all the time in RDS. I defined a cross-section, set up for symmetry in all planes and then tried to import an AI spline. I selected the spline in the file window but after a few seconds, Carrara came back with the message that it could not find the file. I then went back to RayDream and tried the same thing and the file loaded with no problem. The menu selections and procedure are identical in both programs so I'm sure I did everything right in several tries. This is a BIG negative for me since my modeling relies heavily on importing shapes created in CorelDraw to construct FF objects. Has anyone else had this problem? -Michael

I tried a different spline, but similar spline, and that loaded ok. As I said, the original loads in RayDream, but it must be different in some way. They are both simple curved lines. Anyway, I feel better now.
