Before I got bounced off when my puter blew, someone had given me a link for a poser model of a generic kind of officer/soldier in full uniform with the hat and ll, because I needed to mak a model of hitler for a paying job. I still need that model because I still have to finish that job. So if the nice person who gave me that link before could please let me have it again, I'd sur appreciate it.

I think there was a question about a soldier(WW2 I think) with links the other day. It's probably a few threads down...

If you are looking for WWII German soldiers checkout CoreArts.com's download section. Thip and Bryan (AKA?) have put together a fantastic soldier with several helmet styles, Officers cap, props, etc. And it's free! It's listed here in Freestuff somewhere.

well, what I need is a model that I could adapt to make a uniform like this

and a hat like this. The model link someone gave me before I got knocked off like looked good. I'll modify the face in poser, then do he rest in MAX. It's intended to be statue, so texturing isn;t important, just the basics that I can add to,.

Was it Sharkey's USAF Fighter Pilot?

Crowfoot has an SS officer's uniform for Michael over at BBay.

crowfoots are really nice models, should take a look at them. I asked for this style of models awhile back (bout a month) and didn't get any responce, glad you did :)

There was a site called noxgeo which had all sorts of these ww2 guys, but it vanished last year. Legume did a naked Hitler holding an armadillo under one arm, but that wouldn't help you... since his image lacked that which you specifically require, and your client probably isn't interested in armadillos. Corearts is perhaps your best hope. Carolly

Corearts looked like it would work, though it wasn;'t the site that I was originally sent to. I think I can modify the stuff to get what I want though

If you are not in a hurry, I am experimenting with a british officer's jacket. The design is fairly similar. Don't be bothered by the glitches around the pockets and collars - they'll go away when I add some more vertices around the edges. The model should be completed this weekend - it's destined for freestuff later on, but if you can add the nazi armband and emblems, you can have the model sunday evening, I think.

That looks great thip, I'd appreciate it. Looks like exactly wat I'm looking for. Dang, one day I'll learn how to model characters and clothes

Modeling is the easy part - it's mapping and tex'ing that make things seem real. Unfortunately that takes patience, and I have none ;o) I'll mail the model to you sunday evening.
