I don't remember if I posted this here or not. So here goes Here's something I've learned about user libraries. Say you create a new user library then fill it up with objects. Latter on you decided you no longer need some or all the objects in that library, so you delete them. Cool their gone, but according to your computer hard drive that library still reports being the same size. I had a user library I used to put objects in while I work on scenes, after the scenes are complete I delete the objects to keep what Bryce has to load when launched down, plus clearing hard drive space ( so I thought ) after I deleted all the objects in the library it still reported being close to 1GB. So I would suggest keeping a user library completely empty and use it for creating new libraries only. And when you need to house clean libraries you can move needed objects to other libraries and delete the whole library from the hard drive, with contents no longer needed. Other wise it's just a matter of time before your user libraries get out of hand, because just deleting items out of the library doesn't subtract from it's file size.

Yeah, know the problem. This is how I clean up my user object library file - Every so often, I export all the objects in my user object library to another place, then I just delete my user object library file, and then reimport all the previously exported objects. This seems to get rid of the deleted stuff that was still being stored in the library file and ensures that you only have what you see (so to speak) in your library file.

I assume you're referring to Bryce 4, as Br5 allows for an unlimited number of libraries. I still use Bryce4, and I use Bryce Librarian from wolfiesden.com. I have about 30 different libraries of objects, and about 20 of mats. The librarian allows me to "swap" them back & forth from the presets folder to their storage folder. When I need to access a different one, I just have the librarian move the one I need into the User, or Tutorial, or even Boolean or Terrains spots inthe presets. Naturally, I have complete copies of the ones that belong there too. It's not as quick & handy as what Br5 has available, but it still works very well.

Allen 9, I not sure about B4 ( I haven't checked ) It's a B5 issue for sure. I think you missed the point. Sure you can create as many user libraries in B5 as you want. But say you no longer need half the stuff in one, and the library is 1 GB in file size ( on your hard drive ) So you don't need half the stuff in it so you delete half the objects in the library, when you look at how big the library is on your hard drive it still reports being 1 GB, and half the stuff in it has been deleted. If you delete everything in that library, it still reports being 1 GB. So it's basically just wasting space on your hard drive.
