I just could not actually sell this damn thing with the ease it took to create it therefore once again I am giving it away. I usually only create models for the Lightwave area but I thought that I might expand my horizons this time. This time I tried to cover everyone so enclosed in the zip is a .pz3, .3ds, .lwo, .obj file and the usually readme. The lightwave users have proxy strands for doing whiskers with sas and saslite. All others just have a rat.

You dirty rat! You killed my brother! Sorry. Had to get that out of my system. Great model, as usual, Tephladon. You do great work. The feet are especially cool.

Here is a very stupid question. I have downloaded it and unzipped it. I am using poser, but how do I use this in poser? Please forgive my stupidity as I am still new to poser.

That looks like the "LabRat" from a while back! Great model! Thanks!

Is it posable?

Tephladon posted Mon, 13 May 2002 at 10:50 AM

Nah, you'll have to do all of that yourself. Hey ya gotta do some of the work, the modelling part is done already LOL!

Yeah, I got the idea from the labrat at Turbo Squid. I downloaded the frozen model and it had about 125000 polygons. Way too much for such a model. Thus I decided to create the rat on my own with with 1/70th the amount of polygons and yet maintain the same amount of detail thus making it more ususable. Therefore instead of freezing the sub-divided model, I simple metaformed it at level 3. This aided me in keeping the detail and yet making more usable and easier to edit rig and or remodel.

I ran it through UVmapper and came up with this. I think it's very usable. Thank you.
