Ive searched through the forum and pdf but cant find out how to add a background picture. how do u do this? thanks.

An easy way is to load a square prop, place it in the background and apply the background picture as a texture.

There's also a command to "add background image" up in file I think. It's up there somewhere and it puts your image in the background without having to use a prop.

Also if you want shadows, download Runtime DNA's Infinity Cove. (www.runtimedna.com) Just fit your background to the texture map and you'll have shadows cast onto the background.

In poser 4 I do "Import" and then select "Background Image".

The only problem, for me, with using "Import Background Image" is that then the render has to be in that ratio. All my Bckgrnd Images are landscape rectangles and I usually do Square pictures. I've found no way around this. If I resize the window back to my size the background, instead of flooding the intire background, floats up in the air. ery annoying. Emily

Try this and see what happens: Import the background image to a scene with the same ratio as that background. THEN change the dimensions of the scene.
