Why can't i render in a higher resolution than 72 pixels/inch? I have tried to type in a higher amount bit there is no differenc between 72 and 200 (on a side not I gone som high as 10000 but no apparent difference). Any help would be greatful Telumehtar PS sorry for my crappy English DS

You can set the size of the render in the render options control.

Do you have an image editing program like Photoshop? I'm guessing if you set the resoultion higher in the control above and then opened the image in your paint program, you'd see a difference when you zoom in.

This only makes a difference when you print the image... Pixels/Inch is immaterial when the images are shown on the screen... You will always get the P/I of your screen resolution.

Well the way i am looking at the pic you have here. The only way i know how to change the render res is by picking for the render to be in a new window. then you can change the size and res of the render. Just click the NEW WINDOW button.

"Pixels/Inch is immaterial when the images are shown on the screen" Unless you're doing post work. I render at a high resolution so I can do detail work in PShop. Of course one could simply render at a larger dimension and then resize without resampling in PShop, but I prefer to see my whole image as it renders (I have a small-ish monitor).

"Just click the NEW WINDOW button. " You don't even have to do that. Just to make absolutely sure I wasn't mistaken. I just rendered an image in the main window at 150 dpi. I then opened it in Photoshop and sure enough, same inch size, at 150 dpi. Now if I were to open it in a browser it would display at 72dpi and be much larger.
