I read most of this this forum, and I foud the meessages and the re- so ridiculously abnoxious. When do we talk about some real TOS update ?

kbennett posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 2:36 AM

As mentioned in those other threads, mods and admins are discussing this, and we hope to be able to bring something to the members very soon.

Micheleh posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 3:51 AM

Which "real" TOS updates do you mean? We can't do anything if you don't tell us what you want.

AgentSmith posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 10:56 AM

...believe us, it's being worked out.

Just meant; more liberal for the members and for the site hosts & guests-members. Just it. _With maybe paying a fee to become members,_paying Membership, (example:let's say $ 20 a year, or something) and then being able to have more rights. Retroactive actions fom the Adms. Team Mods & Members could be could be welcome to have for all "right to appeal" and all kind of stuff, included the right for the Adms. to explain case by case, in case of problems from any part, not just global simple decisions with no appeal. This would maybe create new jobs, give Renderosity a bigger credit and would be a good thing for Renderosity. I think debates would bring something that we ALL need, and more peace on these kinds of forum. Every truth is good to say. Even though and maybe just because nly a few people think it's not good to do so. That's what I meant updating the TOS.

So glad to see that you have so much money to burn that you could suggest Rosity being a pay-site, LOL! Now get real, will ya?

Being mod on another Poser site, I'd like to tell you something... I won't say I've always agreed with the decisions of Renderosity's staff. In many cases, I found some choices ridiculous (MVHO) BUT... To be admin or mod in such site is NOT a piece of cake, and I'm talking by experience. It's takes a lot of time, it's often frustrating, and sometime you just don't know what to do because, whatever you do, you know you'll be flamed... I remember what a very good friend of mine (who BTW was admin here a loooong time ago) told me several months ago: "I'm sick of always tip-toeing". And yes I agree with him. This site has rules. Accept it or leave. Simple as that. As I said, I don't always agree whith Renderosity's policy, but as simple member I think I have to respect the rules here. Do the same or leave. Period. June :o)

Dagon posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 1:59 PM

Looks like another Liftan's clone...

Momcat posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 2:30 PM

I was just thinking the same thing Dagon. As for suggestions for R'osity policy? To be blunt: K.I.S.S.>^_~ The less complicated you make things, the easier it'll get.

nyar1ath0tep posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 3:12 PM

I'm not sure he's a Liftan clone. He only used one underscore, and the message had no anti-Zionist dogma - just something about paying members getting more rights than others, and some kind of appeal system to drag out the banning process (which is usually same-day service for Liftan clones). Maybe they have some way of checking for Liftan clones other than the underscores.

Spike posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 3:22 PM

Yep, it is him, and we do have other ways to spot him. And BTW, this clone is now banned as well. Next?

Yep. We have excellent bloodhounds here ;-)

Poppi posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 4:34 PM

Wow....even I am getting good at spotting Liftan's way of spelling stuff.

firefly posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 6:09 PM

Funny, when I first read this post earlier today Liftan was the first name that came to mind. It's his grammar more than the underscores that help me to recognize him. Glad you guys got rid of him again :) He is one creepy dude.

Poppi posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 8:42 PM

Well, I copied his post from the Monday after Isreal and Arafat were promising talks, and some sort of fix it. (That was I think the monday before last). I also copied his latest image in gallery, at that time. I took them to work. Showed my partner, and, my ONE employee...Both of them said that i should notify the fbi. i did not do that. however, with the most recent terrorist alertnews...with the possibility of an event worse than 9-11...i am going to alert the authorities to liftan's mumblings on r'osity. i really got the feeling on his one post about what was gonna happen to america...about 2 weeks ago, that, he knew more than he was portraying. maybe,he just has a ghiad online friend, or something. Pop...Pop...Poppi!!!

firefly posted Sun, 19 May 2002 at 9:08 PM

That may be a good idea Poppi, I don't know. He certainly has some strange twists in his thinking. Some of his posts have been pretty bizarre. I suppose it could also just be mood or emotional swings though.

odeathoflife posted Mon, 20 May 2002 at 12:34 PM

I agree completly with June. I am so sick of reading "I Hate Rosity" posts. You don't like rosity...don't come here.

I also agree with June. I dont think people will leave unless they are banned, there are fewer places to go. Lanni's is closed, Chemical Studio is MIA and so on. Lots of sites shutting down. I could be wrong but I see Rosity being like the Microsoft of 3D sites. Not too many other alternatives. I just dont see anything better than this site and I think most everyone here sees that too.

odeathoflife posted Tue, 21 May 2002 at 12:51 AM

Then they better get to like it or a lot of people are going to get pissed off real soon about the amount of winers that are here.

LOL Bite your tongue! If we were like that, you would have to install Poser to access the site, immediately causing your system to crash, and the mods would charge $200 a picsecond for tech support. We would tell you that there is no way to remove it, and send a huge patch. Then we would claim full right for any images posted, words said, or thoughts thought while logged on, somewhat logged on, or thinking of being logged on. Message671422.jpg

Amen to that, odeathoflife. Thats why I rarely visit the forums.
