I am looking for a complete tutorial on making hair with transparency maps on a Mac. I have Poser 4 and Photoshop, but don't know how to create or apply a transparency map correctly (like, how do you get the inside face of the hair?). Can anyone direct me to one?

Good! Thank you, but I still have a problem. After using Poser Maconverter 1.1.2 to make the .obj file show up, I can't apply the appropriate textures to the different portions of the model. The hair prop comes in as one chunk. Is there some way I can select those pieces individually?

Yes, you select by material.

That is the problem. All the choices I get are "Hair", "Front", and "Preview". Is that all I need?

Yep.

Oh!! Duh! (smack!) You have to set the "Transparency Max" to something other than zero for it to work! Wow... Thanks for all your help!
