My computer problem is solved: technician said it was due to lot of dust between air_cooler and processor. He has cleaned between both pieces, removing all the dust. Now all seems to work, I rendered a picture 2h50' long without freezing. Will post here tomorrow the pic which is a (classical) test between ultra mode (800x600) and final mode (say 3200x2400 then reduced to 800x600) to see the difference. Nice to be completely here, and strange thing, Guitta, it was the same problem you had (A chance for me since two weeks ago I already changed motherboard and processor of my other computer, after a manipulating error from my part). Yves, they changed for me the processor, the cooler, the mainboard and the whole central with the ventilator. But where I live, they ordered each piece separately. Monday no work. Thuesday order one piece, wednesday another, Thursday one more, Fryday discovered one of the ordered pieces were defectuous. Saturday, sunday, monday no work. Thuesday ordered the last piece. Came friday. Got my computer 16 days after the first order. LOl but with a face. Guitta

Hi Good thing to do is buy a can of compressed air at your local computer or camera supply outlet and occasionally open your case and give it a good blowing out.

In fact it was not the end : this morning I had still a computer freeze. Open the box, I found the cooler was stopped. Touching it, the metal part was hot, and the cooler started again. This afternoon I bought an other cooler, installed it and now I'm here with apparently no more problems... Yves
