Hello; Is there anyway to import .max files into Poser or Carrara or convert them into something one of these apps can read?

only way to do it is to export the .Max file as either a .3ds or .obj, but it has it's problems, like loosing it's textures, and importing as one big item. I recoment doing it the other way, Max is a verry powerful program and I do most of my renders in it. -gabe-

Only problem gsalas is the lack of the $20 million it takes to have the right to even breath in the presence of a copy of 3DS Max. :) Let alone buy the darn thing...

Some people have mentioned being able to read and save to a different format .max files using 3D Exploration...I've never suceeded with this myself. Other than this possibility, there's NO way unless you have Max. Foxhollow
