Hello; Is there anyway to import .max files into Poser or Carrara or convert them into something one of these apps can read?

All they will import is .3DS format. I personaly dont know of any program that will read .MAX files other than 3DS MAX. Im pretty sure there is a program that will at least do the conversion for you. I just dont know what it is. Clint

Is that a freeware application somewhere or something we have to buy from somebody?

3D Explorer, a fine program for viewing, converting and keeping track of 3D (and 2D) files is shareware available at http://www.xdsoft.com/explorer. 3D Win is another shareware program available at http://www.stmuc.com/thbaier/. Crossroads is a third program, freeware, at http://www.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads/. -Michael
