I'm reworking my Poser character comparison/studies. The first one shows the P4 Nude Female (Posette)and Victoria 2 (by DAZ3d). Each woman has the Alice hair, and things created by Nerd3D. I've tried to duplicate their poses, but need to tweak the Posette pose a bit! (I used a texture downloaded from Happyworldland on Posette. It makes her look more realistic!) Next I'll add Voluptuous Vicky and Diana to the scene. I'm only illustrating characters that I own, for obvious reasons. But this should give some kind of comparison for those who want one! ![Message671414.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message671414.jpg) Ron

One thing you might think about, which I've had to do for comparisons, is even out the lighting to make sure each is lighted the same. Light and shadows can play tricks.

I'd pose them the same too :)

Hi I don't know about anyone else but to me posette looks better, more realistic. but then thats just me. BTW which tex did you use? Dave

I personally can't stand Posette. Doesn't look at all like a real woman to me. But, like Dave said above, "thats just me." For whomever prefers Posette (or really any character) over Vicki, I say to them that whatever makes them happy is just fine with me! ;) Aaron

I prefer Vicky and the other Millennium characters. I'm putting together a series of Character Comparison renders. People are always asking "Who is Vicky?" "Who is Posette?!", etc. This series will provide a good comparison between the characters so people will know. I got the Posette texture from Happyworldland Uncut. I'm redoing my figures with Kozaburo's Short Hair for Vicky and Posette. That's because the Alice hair wouldn't fit right around Stephanie's ears! I'm not totally sure I got all of Posette's texture settings correct. I never worked much with the P4 textures! ![Message671422.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message671422.jpg) Ron

It looks right to me, Ron, nice texture. Poser World has two high res textures for Posette, that are gorgeous too. If I'm going for P4 clothing, I'll more likely choose V2P4. I'm even thinking of shelling out the bucks for Steph for P4, considering I paid nothing for her. There are some wonderful period clothing options in Posette dimensions. Killer Traveler armor at BBay, too. Emily

OH, thanks for reminding me about the Poserworld Posette textures. I'll have to dig around or re-download them! In the meantime I remembered Sharkey's wonderful fashion stage, and decided to use that. I need to fiddle with the lighting. I'm using the UD Lighting Soft Global lights, and they come out this way with no shadows rendered. They are far too dark if I render shadows. Maybe I'll try my own hand at lighting. I've been trying to learn my own lights for a year and still don't have that trick down! I added Stephanie, with the Vanity texture on the far right. Now none of the woman has the same texture, tee hee. Now I need to go and watch my wife use her brand new weed whacker! My wife loves Home Depot where she gets stuff to work on the house and garden. I'm a computer nut, and would rather sit at the computer!

I'm really appreciating this - I don't own anyone but the P4 characters yet. Are you gonna do a full or 3/4 profile shot too?

Staale has some great free photorealistic textures for Posette. Here is a quick render with Staales P4NG53t3kV2 texture.

Golly thanks-- I wasn't sure what all the numbers meant on his site. In fact I thought these were variants morphs on Posette. It's a gorgeous tex-- but then Staale did the Vicky buster, didn't he? Emily

Now I remember that Staale site. He had that Body Morpher thing for Posette. The problem: the CR2 called for a texture that couldn't be found. He probably has some nice stuff there. I just get lost with a filename that has so many letters or numbers.

Bobasaur, I decided to do this render just for you. Does it suit any of your needs? I tried to include different views of Posette! ![Message671414.jpg](http://www.renderosity.com/photos/Message671414.jpg) Ron

Bobasaur posted Sun, 26 May 2002 at 9:32 PM

Ron, thanks a bunch. Actually what I meant was a side by side comparison like this of the different models (Possette, Vicky, & Stephanie).

Ron, these are really useful. I hope you're saving all these images to put up on your website for people to compare easily! Hmm... shall we do comparitive bee renders? LOL!

ronknights posted Mon, 27 May 2002 at 8:14 AM

Thanks. I'm not sure that I'll bother with all the different pose views. That amounts to a lot of work for all those characters. The main idea is just to show you what is out there. Anything more is actually "product shot or demo work." I'll leave that kind of work to those who are trying to make a sale. They stand to make the profit, and they can do the work, grin. It's kind of like wanting to see pictures of bees. I'll do a couple or three quick renders. Beyond that, go to DAZ. Ron

I appreciate what you've done already. I've had no frame of reference for the differences between the models at all until now. You can read the descriptions and see them standing by themselves but until you see a side-by-side (like you've already done) it's not complete. Thanks!
