and only one roll of color film, 24 exposure (no digis) with you to any point in time..and photograph anything at all that you wished..where would you go and what would you shoot? you can only go once, you can only shoot just those 24 exposures.

Two ideas, but with the same idea. - I'd go to LA to take 24 shots of my girl friend (who's a very pro model, but never posed for me :P & have her jump on a trampoline, like Philippe Halsman would do it. Look for his book 'jump' if you don't know what I mean. - I'd go around the world, or just one place with as many famous people I could get together and have them jump. One series with 24 different people jump.

but what time period would you go? today? 300 years ago? next week?

Just wanted to add that every time someone jumps they (most of the time :) become funnier & start doing silly things, which Halsman dicovered. (So he shot them at the highest point of the jump). I wonder if this would still work, cause his shots are from the 60's - I really want to try this sometime, but in a good, well prepared way with famous people.

No no, now...tomorrow morning 9am....make sure my ticket is ready at the airport ;) The 60's are much more fun, but they didn't have those great cameras we have now. :) Btw, incredibly interesting question, Crystal =)

Siberia, June 29, 1908. The day after that was the "Tunguska Event", where, it's believed that a meteor exploded and leveled hundreds of square miles of forest. The event still remains a mystery to this day, and photographs of it would make me rich beyond belief. :-)

The Moon, 1969 - just to prove once and for all we didn't go there..... sorry, too much evidence against it people! (",)

I'd go back and shoot one of Jethro Tull's early gigs. Back before they got any sort of a record deal. Or my parent's high-school graduation. That'd be kinda fun too. -Taltos

The American west before it was shot to hell--say, 300 years ago.

This had me thinking for a while... I still can't decide. For now, it'll have to be one shot each for my first 24 hours of existence. (*

Wow you guys think of all this really intense stuff. I just want to photograph the view from the top of the worlds tallest structure. Not sure what I would photograph next? Bsteph

Hi Crystalwizz I like this thread made me think a bit. Now, I would go back that split second when you just missed the best shot of your life. I would have 24 fantastic shots and no scrapers, what joy:) Ps going to use your idea at my next photographic club discussion night thanks :)
