didn't you know? the personal force field has a nuclear power supply built right into the belt. ~g~ or bracelet. (Asimov founation trilogy, "a reactor the size of a wallnut" is the line, Foundation and Empire I think is the book.) ~g~

Now, you see, the problem with the nuclear power supply in the belt is that the odds of it failing at an inopportune time are right at a million-to-one. Ground zero of an uncontrolled nuclear reaction; not a good place for my cute belly to be. I find you're much better off ripping the power source out of a lightsabre. The increased fantasy physics aspect makes it much more stable. ^_~

~L~ but the odds of a funtioning nuclear reactor that small are around a trillion to one, so that reduces the odd of it falling to a billion to one, since the reactor is totally improbable, the odd of it falling are extremely miniscule. ~solemn nod~

So, what happens if she has to go to the bathroom?

you turn it off silly. ~g~
hogwarden posted Wed, 29 May 2002 at 7:52 AM
But how can she turn it off? There's two layers of forceshield in the way!!
Mosca posted Wed, 29 May 2002 at 7:55 AM
And three power supplies! Good Lord--what if it's URGENT!!!???

Perhaps it's voice-activated.
A lightsaber power cell wouldn't last ten minutes running that rig. Sabers are extremely efficient and "recycle" their energy output; when not actually cutting something, their power consumption is practically nil.

It's called a Diaper (Depends anyone?)

That was NASA's solution... being an astronaut isn't all glamor. ;)

Can you imagine out on a moon walk, "Neil, you should have thought of that before you came outside."

::wiggles nose:: Well, I made my bed, I suppose I should jump on it now. I talked to my accountant, and I don't have to worry about any of this stuff: my reality check bounced. : )

If you got that armor from "Dune", then the armor doesn't respond to very slow movements. That way you can turn it off by a switch.
