Subject: Sometimes digital just won

Dont get me wrong, over the last 2 months, I have been using a digital camera, as much or more than film. Probably more, as film, and development cost much money. Anyway the above is the result of an old fashioned negative scanned at a very high ppi. This looks presentable printed out at 240ppi at 8X10.

This is the original image, taken on 400 speed film, with a 400mm zoom. When I tried to get closer the bird took off. Now I may be wrong, but even with a 6 mega pixel camera, mine is 5, I dont think I could get this kind of enlargement, and still be printable. I think Ill be using both for a while to come. Just my two cents worth
