Subject: Guppo's Big Two Days in Memphis!

I had our young traveler sent to where I work, and here he is arriving to my office. He gave our shipper person quite a scare. He was READY for sure! And yes, that me, your humble host of the week. My first mug on Renderosity.

While I continued catching up on my paperwork, Guppo got on the Internet, and was reminiscing about some friends he'd made on an earlier visit. I had to leave my desk for a while, and he was on his own.

Well, the Barbie girls must have gotten him worked up a bit, because when I returned, he was on one of his favorite "Adult" Clown web sites! The girl does have a pretty smile!

He didn't notice me at first, so I let him unwind a bit since he'd been traveling, but after this, no more. The company I.T. guys are watching, ya know.

That night, he made friends with our dog Ripley. The two became good friends.

The next morning, Guppo discovered the outside, and really loved the garden (note my caladiums are finally coming up!).

Then, it was time to hit the town. First we stopped off at the old Memphis Brewery (he'd seen it on Renderosity). Just looked from the outside, though. That's our friend Lia pointing out a few things.

He wanted to go inside, and tried to climb the gate, but we had to stop him before he got too far.

We'd had a beer or two while driving around, so now it was time to eat. Not just anywhere, though. Gus' World Famous Fried Chicken (ummmm). The best damn fried chicken PERIOD! Worth a trip to Memphis.

Now it was really party time, off to Beale Street, the home of the Blues. Guppo was working on a good buzz too!

We figured some fresh air blowing in off the Mississippi River would revive him, so that's where we went. That's the Memphis Bridge (M-Bridge) and the Pyramid to the right of the bridge. The Pyramid is where the Tyson World Heavyweight Championship Boxing match will be fought next week. Only half of the 19,000 seats have been sold!

OK Mike, I wasn't gonna go to Graceland (locals tend to stay away), but what's a trip to Memphis without Elvis? So at your request, we went. Everyone signs their name on the outer wall, and right after Guppo signed his, he got his first peek.

These are the famous gates of Graceland, and Guppo just HAD to sit on Elvis' guitar.

Where's Guppo? He's there. Funny thing is, even though he was sitting up there on the gate, tourists were still shooting pictures of the gates! So he is in several people's vacation pictures.

We had a super time, and I'm gonna miss the little guy. Hard to believe it was just yesterady afternoon he arrived! Tomorrow I have to pack him off to new adventures, but I think he'll remember his Memphis stop. Word of warning: Don't leave him alone with the Internet! Lia G, my tour partner took the first arrival picture, and Bobby Walker (TVArtDude in Renderosity) did the Guppo Girl web page. Thanks for watching! marshall

wow phrank...i was waiting for the last post forever....these are really damn good...you really treated us to some sweet pics...that 1900-gup-slut got me laughing so hard I woke my neighbors...that clown dude sure is getting his treats around the world...great stuff...really liked how ya ended it up with the guppo loves elvis pic...

These are great, really good shots. LOL! @ 3 & 2 that Guppo really needs keeping an eye on! I just love 9 & 15 my favourites, cool to see Guppo on Elvis's guitar too ; ) Totally cool trip!!

WOW!!!!! Guppo was definately LIVING LARGE in MEMPHIS!!! Y'know it's be great to get the expressions on all those people who took pix of that Graceland gate with our little GUPPO!!!! I can hear it now....Where the HELL did THAT come from!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA JUST TOO FUNNY!!! These pix MADE MY DAY!!!! WOHOO!!!! L8r!

These are great. I LOVE the second picture. Actully there is some quite nice pictures expecially theones at the brewery and at BB Kings. Love the chicken ad. Bsteph
