I'm looking to purchase a macro lense, so I need some help in figuring out what I should look for. First off I own a Pentax K mount (K1000) (shows my age huh? hehehe) and a macro/zoom lense, it locks into a macro view with ratios of 1:3 to 1:8 and then locks into a zoom lense from 8x-210 power. I know this isn't a real macro lens.. i also own close-up filters. bah. What I'm looking for is a macro lense that will let me take close-ups of bugs, flowers, etc. so that I can get leaf textures, bug's eyes, etc ;) Can someone tell me what the lense description should say? Because I see lenses that say 1:2.8 and then 30-70mm, but I'm fairly new at all this so that doesn't mean anything to me. If you own a macro lense, could you tell me what kind and what power it is? Basically, if someone could tell me the basics about a macro lense, that would be great too! Thanks so much !!!!
