I make a cube in TrueSpace and save as .dxf. I import the cube into poser. I use the Grouping tool so I can have the front red and the back blue. To do that I have to highlite the front - from the back. And highlite the back - from the front. I go to the render menu and set the front as red and the back as blue. When I look at my cube from the front, the front is blue but if I render it is red. If any one is still reading this (it sounds kind of crazy to me too), am I using the Grouping tool incorrectly?

heyas; your normals are reversed. when you make the first group, do the 'add all' thing to select all the polys, then press the button that says 'reverse group normals.' then subtract the polys you don't want (ie: all but the front face). make the other group for the back face, etc etc, just as you have been.

Thank you very much bloodsong. I have just tried what you suggested and it works! I have been trying to make a wall with a door in it. Its amazing how much work there is in something that seems quite simple. Its going to be part of a noir type comix.

Also, get this plugin for tS, it will let you export as an .obj, which is Poser's favourite format.
