I modeled these in Carrara wondered what my fellow peers think? BluesmanClintH posted Thu, 17 February 2000 at 9:19 AM
Blues! Nice stuff. I still havent gotten brave and tried to model in Carrara yet. Guess its time. Those look wonderful. I would love to see them rendered in maybe umm....a marble shader ... Hey would you like a Marble shader from my Shader pack to render them with. I would like to see that. Let me know. If not thats way cool also. Nice work! Clint Hawkin-Z GraF-X www.bbay.com/hawkins

Lookn' good. On your Rooks you could create the 'profile' for the torus with multiple cross sections. As you go around the full circle you can alternately delete rectangles of the profile. The results will be your crenelations at the top of the Rooks without having to do a Boolean. Of course if that's not what you wanted in the first place, you can completely ignore this!! :) Mark

Mark I had condidered that only with staight block boolean cuts using the rotation around the hot point(top view)another thought was to boolean subtract the rounded of squares in the free form modeler, which I will probably do. The torus idea I hadn't considered but who know smile Appreciate your insights. Bluesman
