Very Nice indeed. Kix, eventually you will be able to publish these in a Carrara Tutorials book. I have no doubt that a publisher will pick these up. Great Job on ALL the tutorials you have done! -Paul

Chris, Understand that the influence process for bones only works if the model is a vertex model for C2. now you can convert the model in the modelling room, simply select the edit menu and then goto convert to other model. (sigh) Looks like another turn at tutorials is due. I have to expand on the ability to turn a model created in another app into C2 and then animate it. Looks like another week of sleepless nights, but that's the fun of it. ken

I hear you, ken. This stuff is fun to figure out. I am this ==> <== close to getting my alien's eyelids to work the way I want them to. I am experimenting with overlapping bones that control the rotation of the UpperEyeLid and the LowerEyeLid seperately.

CCKENS, I guess that is where my frustration is...converting the imported models in C2 and rigging properly. I know I'm missing something obvious but I can't figure it out. I'll be looking for more of your tutorials...... thanks, Chris

Paul, All the tutorials I post here (by me or other members) are available on the CD. I release a new version once a year. January is the "print" date. It took me about six weeks to get it through Renderosity for sale. The catelog of the current CD is in the back room. All later versions of the CD will have all the new AND old stuff as long as there is room. -Kix

Just out of curiosity...cuz I am a total neophyte with C2....but can you create a posable figure or prop for Poser using the "bones" ?
