The full PR is in the Vue d'Esprit forum, however what may be lost to some is that we've developed a means to host Poser scenes in Vue 4 for Mac OS X, even though Poser 4 is a OS 9.2 app (not recommended under classic). So very soon, you'll be able to import Poser 4 still scenes into Vue 4 on the Mac, and the animation will come later for both platforms. We will be showing this off at Siggraph next month. best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

uhh.. i just wanted to shell out some money for vue, does it mean that vue4 on pc doesn't support poser files? i always thought it was the case (that's why i want to have it :))...

Vue4 for PC already supports Poser Still files. Make sure you patch it up.
I came, I rendered, I'm still broke.

Hmm..... Good news for the poser user Base!!
I already have my animation rendering solution
in Cinema 4DXl and the propack animation plugin
But im still very Glad to see this additional option.
Very smart strategy by curious labs to offer Poser
as a versatile character animation plugin for high end appslike Cinema 4DXL ,Lightwave,3D Studio MAX. now VUE.
Way to go!!!

Vue 4 on the PC already supports direct, native import of Poser 4 scenes. We've had some of the "guts" available on Mac OS X, but with the help of Curious Labs we've been able to overcome the fact that Vue 4 for Mac OS X has had to talk with a Mac OS 9 application, which isnt normally possible. So Mac folks will soon have the same static import capability as our PC users. Animation will expand on this technology. If you are coming to Siggraph 2002, come by our booth and check it out! best regards, Lynn Fredricks e-on software

ummm, this still elaves me with a question. I have been saving to purchase Vue instead of Bryce 5 purely because of the Poser compatability (i'm on a PC). Is this going to be a free upgrade in Vue4 or is it going to be something like a vue5 that I will have to buy up to? Essentially, I'm wondering if I need to wait before my purchase.

im mad. hurt. disgusted even! curious labs doesnt fix the 3dsmax ppp plug_in, they leave us max users out in the dust..... so then youd think well maybe for bryce theyll do it. but oh no, it goes 2 vue............ whats the deal???
