Just the hand of a mech model I'm working on...spent a total of 30 minutes on it. The goal is to create a whole series of parts in 30 minutes apiece, and then combine them all together to create one finished mech. Please, leave some comments on what I should keep in mind on the next part (the right hand). But keep in mind, this is probably one of the first REAL models I've tried in a while, so it's bound to be pretty shitty.

Nice start WS, like it so far, keep up the goos work!

Here's a different angle of the hand, to show off the ugly and quick detail work on the underside.

Only 30min per part, is that just a personal challenge, or whats the deal with that? Heck, I spend days on a single part sometimes. I'd maybe add some crap either hanging off, or built into, or vents or some shit like that to the back of the hand to break up the shape a bit. But thats just me. As far as the other hand goes...maybe some huge mega man/metroid gun? Just a thought.

Joints. There're no joints. This a Rhino model? It looks like one.

Modulok, that's a personal challenge...And it also prevents me from spending entirely way too much time on one specific thing that I want. The trick is to divide the process up into as many small parts as necessary... Teyon, you're right, this is a Rhino model. I'll be adding in joints later, when I add all the pieces together. But for now, I'm just leaving space for the joints.
