I'm looking for characters (Poser4) from the stone age on back in time. Hopefully with textures. I have found a texture map for the "free" Bigfoot, but cannot find the free Bigfoot. (Maybe it was free "before my time"?) Anyway, I'm planning a Bryce/Poser prehistory project and need figures. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated. Wayne

Fraid the free version of Bigfoot was limited time from Zygote and none of us can therefore give you a copy...I think however, Zygote has it for sale and in fact it may be reduced price as we speak.... Someone way back had also done some morphed figures of caveman/woman, though they bore little resemblance to known archetypes...they were basically just really ugly people... you might try getting some side and front views of homo habilis, et al from some of the science websites. I would then texture the pics onto a onesided square or two, put them in your poser frame next to the poser head and use them for reference as you tweak morph targets to make the look...In other words, dont just push the face around until it "looks like a caveman"...I think we all end up just making a portrait of that bully from the fifth grade, dont we? I think I saw a dxf version of the zygote bigfoot over at the "3DCafe". It might still be there. I don'know if it's any good though. Might be...

Have you tried playing with the morphs included on the P4 male, like Brow, JawStrength, FlatBridge, et al? You may be able to come up with a passable Neanderthal. Good luck, Mike

Duester45, 3D Cafe has abom.zip (345k) which may be just the ticket for you. They have it in 3DS and DXF formats. - Art -
