Never happened to me before... Does it happen even if you open a small file and haven't done any "memory intensive" stuff yet? I'll look into it... :) retrocity

That has happened to be before but in my case I had added a mega load of actions to the PresetsPhotoshop Actions folder. I'm not sure of limit but I must have exceeded it. I removed the actions and all was well with the world again. My little action thingy arrow worked again.

Dreamer, i think you're right. If there's too many actions (or even fonts for that matter...) PS seems to have a prob dealing with it properly. I don't have to many action in my arsenal but i would suggest creating groups or directories and LOAD and UNLOAD as needed...

too many fonts loaded and the computer itself will have a hard time dealing. Only keep the system fonts loaded, nothing else if you can help it, and your system performance will be much nicer. Use ATM or a similar proggie to view fonts before loading them. as for the actions, never ran into the problem myself. Maybe a reinstallation would fix?

well actually it happened with me too. problem was that i had stuffed my action folder with lots of other actions and one day it stopped working and when i removed all of them it worked. u must remove unnecessary actions from action folder in photoshop root folder. i am sure it will work wish u luck good day bye
