Hopefully this is my last question on this subject... (I did a search in the archives, but didn?t find what I was really looking for...) I?m thinking of buying pro pack IF pro pack can do the following: I want to pose, texture and animate figures in poser. Then I want to export the whole animation for lighting and rendering to c4d. It would be nice if I don?t have to rescale or reapply textures in c4d anymore. Is it possible? Have I forgotten something important? Thanks, (once again) hendrik

its very possible and very simple if you have V7 of cinema, the only think you need to do is take the trans map from the transparecy channel and put it in the alpha then your good to go ;o)....heres a couple of samples http://poserworld.com/stevePublicPrvws/todinner.jpg the car and woman are poser figures brought in with the plugin http://poserworld.com/stevePublicPrvws/stopnow.jpg just the girl this time http://poserworld.com/stevePublicPrvws/bikeandmodel.jpg bike and girl this time.....Steve

You can also use another plug-in that automates the transp.-alpha. http://www.amazonescity.com/free3dstuff/PoserFix.zip CD

Oh, one thing I forgot to ask... Can I also import a poser model including joints and IK or will I also end up with single objects for each body part?

There's a plug in for the Pro Pack at Curious Labs. I Don't have Cinema 4d v7 so I can't tell you what it does, maybe you should contact Curious Labs & ask them what the plug in does

only linked data from propack, no mesh, no ik, no bones, but work fine though can't be interacted.

Use poser to do previsualization on your
animation and render some small low res animtion tests out of poser first to check your animation for accuracy.
then import tha scene into cinema4DXl and set up REAL
voumetric lighting and other high end scene effects around your imported character.
if you notice a problem with your animation at this point
go back and fix it in POSER and save
open up the poser dialog
in the cinema object manager and hit the RELOAD button
and cinema will update to the new corrected poser file
while leaving the rest of your cinema scene intact
