Well, I am crosseyed and burnt out from surfing and reading fine print. };] However, here is a possible solution I may have found. A service called ECharge sounds very promising at the moment. Basically, you would download the file you want from my site in an encoded format, then, after you agree, (and with the help of a small browser plugin)the browser disconnects from your isp, dials an 800 number, automatically downloads a decryption key, decrypts the file, and then redials and reconnects to your isp. You are then billed on your phone bill for the file. No credit card, or personal information is ever asked for or given out! The customer is charged a secure transaction fee of $0.50 per transaction for items $10 or less; $1.00 for items between $10 and $35, and they take 8.25% of what I sell. MUCH better than 50-65%!!! If I sell something for $5.00, you pay $6.00, I make roughly $4.50 MUCH BETTER!! and I can still offer sets and reduce the price. You can get more info about ECharge at http://www.echarge.com. Please tell me if you all think this is an acceptable solution!! P.S. There is a one time setup fee of $50, but that should be able to be made up pretty easily...

What about those who don't use a modem to connect to the internet? ISDN, cable modem, etc.

Sounds like a good solution, actually.

Does it work with Mac computers? Seems like around 35-40% of your possible customers are Mac users. Eric Walters

There is no modem attached to my computer. There is a cable modem attached to the ethernet. DSL, ISDN routers, etc connect through the ethernet. As long as you realize you are excluding some portion of your potential market, do whatever you think best.
