Hi, I created a character in P4 (with Pro Pack) by twiddling some dials and changing the look. I then saved this to the Figures library. Is this figure distributable as a character? I assume it still requires the original geometry, and merely refers to it for the modifications? Furthermore, when I transfer the character to a copy of Poser without the Pro Pack on, it won't load. How do I create a version that is compatible with the regular version of Poser?

You neglected to say what original figure you used to create your figure. Vicky 2 and Mike 2 can be a big problem since the "value" of these characters is in the morphs, which are in turn in the cr2. I'll assume your character is made from either Vicky 2 or Mike 2. If it is not, then a whole new set of answers may apply. *** The safest thing is not to use a cr2 at all. Go to Free Stuff and get MAT Pose Edit. Then follow the link to the quickie tutorial I made on how to creat a MOR file from a Poser character. Then if you have further questions, let us know. If you create a figure in Pro Pack and load it in Poser 4.03, you get a "version" error message.. it's basically saying the figure was created with a newer version of Poser. It should go ahead and load anyway. I cope with that problem by creating a figure in Poser 4.03, then distributing from there. You can always load your figure later into Poser Pro, for your own use.
