Ok, Ive just about had it with textures lol. Is there any guides I can get to see where the heck to put lips on a texture map for Steph? Every time I make her a set of lips, they are way down on the bottom of her chin, or stuck up her nose...Anybody got some ideas, cuz this is the only thing thats stoppin' me from finishing this chick!! lol I keep trying to align the lips as if they were part of the texture guide, but they keep going low or high, never where they are supposed to... HELP!

My very good friend Bella Morte informed me that she read over at Runtime you can use a seperate tex map altogether for the lips. Keep it totally seperate from the head tex. Then it doesnt bleed either. I have been doing it ever since and never had ANY problems. Hope that helps.

Yes. All you do is open UVMapper (pro or freebie, doesn't matter), open the Stephanie object, hit Ctrl M, select all but the lips and click OK. Now move your mouse to one of the corners til the arrow turns into the diagonal arrow and move that corner to the opposite corner and you should be left with just the lips. Click on any white are to deselect the other parts and then hit Ctrl T to save as a texture map and save it as whatever size you want. I use 2000x2000 at the moment and it give a reasonable sized tex of the lips :)

BellaMorte, that's a good idea - similar to what I do. For items that are on top of other items (lips). Make seperate texture maps (save them individually) and then load them into photoshop or psp as seperate layers. Sometimes I even select the white parts and use the "clear" function so that there are lines with transparency between them. You can then overlay these on top of the map you're working with. :)
