I tried to use the morph target for the elderly man from the Poser Mall and it did pretty much the same thing. When I adjusted the dials for the morphs, the poor man turned into a spike-headed freak. He looked like something out of the Outer Limits. It was useless to me, so I deleted it. Melanie

hmmm... gee, you mean you didn't mean to create a hairy turnip morph for the monster? ;) sorry, just kidding. one thing i noticed with the monster, it didn't come with an obj file for the geometries folder, just a pz3; so i am figuring the geometry is all custom geoms in the cr2. but anyway, try this: turn off all ik chains. zero the figure. set all morphs to zero. set the hip x/y/z trans to 0/0/0, and the body trans's too. then export as an obj. hopefully then, it will be in the right 'place' to do morphs. oh, and i also think the 117 patch at least has an option to 'export as morph,' which will automatically stick your particular piece(s?) in the correct location in virtual space. try that. :)

The .zip file does include an .obj file, it's just that it's not needed for the cr2 to load. It's just intended for creating MTs (I guess). shdcstr: as allerleirauth says, it's a problem with the vertices' order. Maybe you have inverted the objet while working on it? Did you have to convert to other format when exporting and before importing to Poser? Wich 3D program have you used?

The many things I tried: First, I tried to re-build the model from the OBJ file (worked fine, but I lost the joint params and the eyes). Then I said to myself, "Hey self, the model is in the same position as the geometry file, so why not export the eyes and combine them with the main OBJ?". This actually worked. I then used phibuilder and voila -> perfect model. I simply edited my new cr2 and copied in the joint params from the original cr2 file. On to the maw-1 morph from the original file. I exported the morphed head-body to an OBJ as a morph target. This was my result after loading said morph target into the knew model. Have I lost anyone yet?

So, your character is not the original .cr2 that came with the .zip, but a rebuilt one (why did you do that?). Maybe the vertex listing in the new .cr2 doesn't match the original one, but I'm not an expert in .cr2 code (not even an adept). Why not use the first .cr2 and make the MT using the .obj that came with it? I still haven't tried it, so maybe the problem is a difference between those two files. I'll look into it.
