DAZ's recent stance on distributing clothing altered by the Tailor has raised deep concerns within the community. I have one great concern here. We're dealing with an official stance that comes at least 4 months after Tailor was released. DAZ has had sufficient time to do their research and voice any objections. What is to stop DAZ from voicing their concerns with commericial products 6 months, or even years down the road? Wouldn't that retroactive decision or stance turn many law-abiding people into "criminals or copyright violators?!" As it stands right now, DAZ approves any violation of their policy as long as you have an exclusive brokering arrangement with DAZ. DAZ is not only practicing retroactive policies, but is willing to over-ride their own policy if you broker with DAZ exclusively. Those contradicting policies can help to kill the competition. Many people like myself are not ready to sell anything, but we'd like to give things away. As it stands right now, I won't feel safe even when DAZ finally announces a solution to the current Tailor issue. I'm afraid DAZ will come by in months or years and make me a criminal.
