Hi CarraraFans, Do you know if Carrara is able to create selective lamps ? I mean, a lamp which lights only an object or a group of objects ? I love that feature and i miss it in Carrara Freid

Unfortunately, that's one of the things you can't do with Carrara :( . Personally, i also miss negative lights and the ability to disable highlights casted by a light to simulate radiosity with raytracing . litst

thx. That a bad new :[ if we're in the missing things, i'd love to see some features like radiosity to texture (kind of lightmaps), vertex painting (sometime usefull)... I cross my fingers for the next release ;o) Freid

Shaders can illuminate individual objects via the "glow" setting in various ways subtle and gross. Try specifying a very dark color in the glow channel... it gets bright quickly since it adds to environmental lighting.

Hi, thx for that infos. Indeed i'd a though about that, even made a few tests, but it seems more complicated to get lights fx in that way. BUT, i steel feel like a total newbie in the texture area. I have to practice a bit :) Freid
