What do you want it to do? I've been thinking of doing some MTs. The problem is that they have to affect the jaw and lips as well.

What Alle said with one additional tip: After making the tongue group from the material, deselect the last section of polys at the back of the tongue, otherwise you can easily launch it out of the figure's head. Also if you use the wireframe view when doing this, you can deselect them in one pass. Check out the #3 magnet tutorial at morph world. -Trav

I have a tongue prop I made. The one with the head didn't seem to have enough verticies to do what i wanted. It curls up and down and goes in and out. If there is any interest in it I'll post it.

ninhalo- get the tongue from steve's site. The morphs for it are rather extreem. I use them at no more than .02 most of the time! You'll want to re-size it to suit your taste in tongues, but it is the only one I use now for all my characters. I used Morph Manager to remove all tongue morphs from the heads! Magnets are OK for single picture changes, but learning to use one of the various mesh editing apps would make life a lot better - take time to get used to all the options first, then jump into the heavier stuff.
