I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm this close to chucking every bit of 3D software I own and simply waiting for P5. In the meantime, I do have a question: has anyone used Credo's motion capture software, Lifeforms? It crashes on my windows xp pro athlon every time I open a new window, which suggests a windows os prob, but works fine on my win 98 machine. credo is stumped and so am I. Any suggestions?

Yeah, if you got it from the 3D World CD, I think it said somewhere that it was not compatible with XP, and that it needs to be run in compatibility mode

Go to to the program's shortcut icon and right click it. Choose properties. Then, in the properties dialogue, there should be a tab that says "compatibility". Go there, then check the box that says "run this program in compatability mode for:" and then choose windows 98 / ME from the drop down list. disable the 256 colors, 640x480 screen res, and the disable visual themes check boxes. Go OK, give it another shot.

It worked! Did compatability mode for windows 2K. Apparently that os change and the color depth change was more to Lifeforms' liking. I just wish they'd advertise that their product doesn't work with XP. Thanks a lot for every one who responded and helped me with this!
