This is one of my first shots with the Canon G2, just some bedding flowers outside of my office. The original was way too saturated for my taste, so I have toned down the reds in Photoshop, may just be my monitor though. Unfortunately in the conversion to jpg, much of the fine detail was lost. The original 8X10 print on an Epson 1270 had enough detail so that the small hair structures on the stems and around the base of the flowers were clearly visible. I think Im going to like this camera. Its not perfect, but what one camera ever is?

taking that print, and adjusting you monitor to match it. Much easier said than done. Lots of variables here, including ambient room light in the computer room. Seems to really be two goals here; getting the scene-camera-monitor-printer to reasonably agree, and getting a version to publish on the web that looks OK on everyone's different browsers and (mostly tuned) monitors. A good tutorial would help if anyone finds a good link. Good news, Quinn, if your (unadjusted) print looked OK. Then just holding it next to the monitor should get you mostly there, (both are in the sasme ambient light).
