The Poser 4 manual advises users to use Poser to make short AVI fragments, and then string them together with an AVI-editor. Where can I get an AVI-editor?

If you have deep pockets, Adobe Premiere works well. While there are some good shareware/freeware solutions, you usually get what you pay for. I'll check my notes and try to get back to you if I find a cheap/free utility.

They're all over the place. Try www.cnet.com or www.zdnet.com for starters. I think there is a section in www.winfiles.com that has this kind of stuff available for downloading also. But these free programs are pretty limited in function. I use Uleads MediaStudioPro5 and it has a lot of cool functions and special effects. And I think it recently went on sale for around $99.00. It's well worth that small price. ScottA

If you are UK based just take a look at the freebies that come on the front of magazines....Although not in the same league as Premier, Lumiere Video Studio was given away free by PC Advisor which should do the trick. Try ordering a back issue. VIDandCGI WhiteCrow3D http://www.zig3d.co.uk

I tend to use either the old Adobe Premiere LE that came with some hardware or other that I bought years ago or I use Jasc Animation Shop 2 that came with Paint Shop Pro 6. For sticking short animations together the PSP app will do it fine so long as the file isn't too terribly large (I just finished a 144 Meg avi of 201 frames and it pushed my machine to the limits but I got it done and converted down to 11 megs in the Jasc product). I second that suggestion to try and find Ulead Mediastudio 5.0 for $99. It was originally over $400 I think when it came out several years ago. I got my copy for $99 at egghead.com surplus last year. Timing is right, because they're about to put out version 6, so you could be in line for a pretty cheap upgrade (if you can find the $99...)
