Lately, whenever I try to render an image my computer locks up and all I can do is shut it down. Images that Ive rendered in the past now also cause a lockup. Ive reinstalled poser and the upgrade but the problem persists. The files are in the 18 to 25 MB range and they include both V2 and P4 characters (dont know if thats an issue). Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If you save all your past .pz3 files perhaps you don't have enough free system resources to render the images. Try moving some of your saved files to CD or another drive or partition and see if that helps. Also, try running system maintenance(defrag and scandisk) and clearing your history folder. If you already have done that then I'm in the dark too- Heeelllppp! ;-)

Make sure you are not running any other programs while you are using Poser. If you are using Windows 98, save your file and exit Poser. Reboot your system and then try to render your file (don't make any changes before you render). If it does render, then that usally means you need to upgrade to Windows XP. Windows 98 just can't handle memory very well. I had the same type of problems until I upgraded to XP. There are a lot of other posts here about Poser freezing - Do a search for more info. Peggy
