I believe Charlene Krejci has two complete characters for free at her web-site: www.visionsofeve.com ; Franco Jr. & Sr. Their textures are extremely detailed.

Dolphin, Mione are probably not as detailed as you are looking for. But I figurted I'd toss 'em into the ring anyways. I have 15 "Shades of Mike" textures up on my website.

Oh, thanks for the compliment. Believe me, I never underestimate someone's intelligence. However, it is clear many people post questions before reading the forum threads. That's why so many people keep asking the same questions. ("Where do I download Vicky," "How do I handle Vicky's Eyebrows," etc?!) It's easier if you take the time to tell us where you've already looked, so we don't say something that might offend you.

Ron >> ahh hell.. takes a lot to offend me.. I think the only way you'd do it properly would be to pull my trousers down in the middle of a busy high street.. and that's more humiliation than offenceL.. :D .. Lyrra>> I have a few of your ShoM textures and they're lovely.. I'm just looking for the sort of thing you can zoom into and see the pockmarks and bumps etcL.. not that I'm fussy mindL.. say.. you wouldn't happen to know if making a Bump map for a texture I have (which doesn't have one) would make any difference? I have pro pack so I'm not too sure.. Bobcat >> thnx bud.. I got Jr the other day.. but he doesn't seem to work right.. think maybe he needs senior to get him going?L..

P.s .. lyrra.. you could probably get away for passing brendan walker as a model of Anthony Head (Giles from buffy L)..

Lyrra posted Wed, 10 July 2002 at 4:09 AM

Dolphin, Don't challenge Ron like that - I don't want to see what'll happen! grin I said mine weren't gonna make you happy. And yeah, a bump map (properly made) can help. Doesn't matter how you're rendering. And people keep saying that about Brendan - I sure don't see it :) The whole facial structure is different, I think it's the personality or something. But thanks anyways :) Lyrra

Dolphin, there's no danger of my attempting such a humiliation. I have a recurring nightmare to that effect myself! It seems to me you probably won't find a Mike skin texture of that quality for free. On the other hand, SteffyZZ is known for her excellent textures. Of course, work of that caliber comes "for a price." I've heard it's well worth the investment.

Dolphin, my all time favorite is Kane by Syyd Raven, very realistic Not sure if she still sells them here or at runtime dna

lyrra >> yours are fine. better than fine.. bloomin fantastic in fact... right I'm gonna use one of yours thenL.. I'll just bump it :D ... I want it to be free because I have a lot of conversion to do (VAMP-ing it.. I would say re-vamp.. but then it'd have to be a vamp texture in the first placeL.. ).. so I'll go and steal all your lovely stuff :P Ron >> I kinda figured I was being a touch optimistic with the free thing.. with quality comes cost.. sigh.. damn that baron greenback (dangermouse... anyone? L) nevermind. .for now it's probably best I set my sights on a freebie.. people are much more forgiving to my rash attempts at editing it thenL. Best free textures I've seen was joelegeckos.. and they're all on poserstylee now. which I'll happily pay for once I get my electric, food, yadda yadda yaddaL thanx again guys :D Dolphy

If you're doing a pale vamp, I'd start with Eric the albino dude. And remember, since these are okay to modify and distribute, you can can then put your vampskin in freestuff :) Just make sure you say it's a SHoM based skin.

Dolphin posted Thu, 11 July 2002 at 3:27 AM

Lyrra >> what makes you think I'd rip you off? it's the dodgy hair and the gun isn't it?L.. don't worry.. I'll be real careful with my pleases and thankyous from now on.. too many good artists have suffered from the inconsideracy of others :)

Lyrra posted Thu, 11 July 2002 at 4:34 AM

Dolphin, nah - I don't think you'd rip me off :) The only reason I ask people to mention it's a SHoM skin is to, hopefully, get more people modifying them, and thus more to add to the collection (only 17 so far!). I'd like it to be like HappyWorldLand - where there are 30 versions of each skin. :( but nobody seems to want to modify them. sigh I think I made them too well or something!

Dolphin posted Thu, 11 July 2002 at 3:31 PM

Lyrra >> if you want I'll work my way through all of them very slowly... :D. .. no guarantees the results'll be any good thoughL.. there's just not enough Mike textures to go aroun d and way too many vicki ones.. hmmm.. wonder why that is?L
