What is the best way to morph vickie or preteen vickie into a believable teen character? I thought I had a great teen girl character going based off preteen vickie then realized how far off I actually was when put next to my other characters. Any suggestions or examples?

Best way to DO teens... well... if you're a teen... I'd start with dinner and a movie... maybe a little dancing... if you're over 18... I'd say stay away unless you live in Arkansas and are governor! (yeah..yeah... I know... I'm weird... I just couldn't resist after reading that title)

Hah gee, someone already beat me to the fun. I'm too damned old anyway. But I can drool.

if you take look in freestuff there's a couple of teen characters based on vicky/p4 flying about.. you'll have to dig but a few of them are really well done.. and somewhere out there is a MOR pose to resize your millenium girls to teen size.. I'll post the link if I run into them again :) Dolph.

LOL nu-be!! That's the best one yet. I can't believe I came rushing in here hoping someone hadn't already jumped on that subject line. I should have known better with this place. My answer: Any way they'll let you. ragmaniac: there are plenty of young ones out there who prefer more mature folks.

Take a look at Dark Whisper's Candi pack for a good example of a teen female character using vicky. That's the most convincing one I've seen thusfar. She's got a bit of a Gelfling look to her, but I do think she is within the realm of what is realistic for the age. As for teen boys... I haven't seen anything yet that accurately captures the age quite right. I think the Michael character definitely has the potential to be adapted to an 18ish male shape, but not much younger than that without some serious work. And forget about The Dork, he can't be made into anyone remotely realistic looking. -Adam

I think the biggest mistake people seem to make in trying to create teen female characters is failure to observe the real thing. Teenage girls do not generally look like Anime characters, but this seems to be how most people's attempts to make teens turn out. For true realism, try working from an actual photo of a real teenage girl something like what you're trying to recreate. Take measurements of the face, the relationships and distances between features, etc. If your modeling software allows it, you could even import photos to use as guides when you are making the morph targets. -Adam

I have Candi. And when I put my Vicki character next to her it became really clear how far off I had been. I am using Poser, so that is the limit of my modeling ability and I am still learning it. I am aimming for puesdo photorealistic so I am not really looking for the anime look, more like the graphic novel cover version. I had a system crash again last night so I will be starting over... I will post later to see what you all think.

If you're trying to get a truly realistic teenage look using only Victoria's built-in morphs, well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it ain't gonna happen. You can't even get close. Victoria's head in particular is simply too "mature" to get a convining teenage look without radical smoothing and reshaping/rescaling of the mesh, something you can only accomplish in a modelling program. -Adam

I covered this topic a little while ago (see link) repeated the info in the readme for my Teen Stephanie character face in Free Stuff. Mike

Mike, that's really impressive. I haven't played around with the Stephanie character, but it looks like she's capable of more than I would guessed from looking at the default Daz shots. -Adam
