From his posts last week I was under the impression that we would be getting weekly updates. Is it a post that I missed?

I just heard the "truth" about Poser 5. Yep. It's a government conspiracy intended to center our attention on a non-existing software package so that we'll overlook our tax dollars being funneled to a guy named Ted who lives somewhere in Fisterbrook, Montana. Actually, I wasn't sure I ever got that impression from kupa's post. I figured he was just being a swell feller and showing us the cool stuff early. On the other hand, I was pretty mesmerized by the hair, so I might have missed something... Paul

What Entropic said. I gather he meant he will keep us aware of news- rather than at specific intervals. It may be there is nothing new to report-he gave us a pretty cool peak just a few weeks back! I've met him in person a few times at MacWorld- and I can attest that he is both "swell", and enthusiastic! Eric

He said we was gonna keep some secrets for later so the press wouldnt shoot him. He also stated that he was trying to keep it under wraps for the most part and was just giving us peeks to spark interest and kindle some fires in the hearts of disgruntled and discouraged poser users out there. I dont recall anything about weekly updates, I got away from the post around reply 90 when it became aparrent it wasnt going anyhere.

Actually, the impression that I got was that he told us what he did when he did because of the commotion that weekend... Brian

In Post #53 of the California Dreaming thread, Kupa said:
"Our staff here is swamped with all the details needed to build this project. I implore you to give us a little space and time. We are going to come back with some fantastic things... and perhaps in the next week or so, I may have a few more tidbits like those above to share."
So if I were a betting man, I'd place my bet that on July 18th or 19th, right before Siggraph, he'd give us another early peek at what CL has prepared for the press at the show;)
What do you guys think about that?
Patrick

I almost forgot. In another thread, Steve said: "p.s. I'll have to start another thread soon with some images of the new P5 figures. I hope you'll be as excited as we are proud." That was July 3rd. Here's the thread:Cage posted Sat, 13 July 2002 at 1:35 PM

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking. He apologizes for this. He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.
Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below. His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

In case you missed it, there's now a thread with a link to the MP about an event at D*CON which seems to suggest we'll all know a lot more by Sept. 1... (I'd repeat it here, but it's several screens back and my PC is way slow today...) It's not from kupa directly, but any port in a storm, yes?
