Hi there, uploaded a summer scene at http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=215102&Start=1&Artist=nggalai&ByArtist=Yes . I am not alltogether sure whether the heat blur effect is too pronounced, so . . . your feedback is very much appreciated. :) have a great week, -Sascha.rbgebe posted Mon, 15 July 2002 at 5:26 AM
Looks great SAscha, I think the blur effect is OK. This gives to the image the "painting look" and the Hudson River School effect. :-)Guitta

Hi Sascha, seems like the emphasis is on the foreground. In this case, you might want to add more blur on the background. combine it with a tad of noise and you really bring the attention to the foreground. Im my opinion, it would be better if the sky has more color. a greenish-blue on the horizon to a deeper blue as height increases. The sky seems too pale for a summer day. I do like the texturing on the foreground especially the grass. I like the shadow play on the chairs, tables etc. adds a nice depth. I'm thinking the focus point in the pic is the lower right corner. It would be better if you remove the tricycle. It doesn't add much and with the color you chose, it kinda distracts the attention. (I am still assuming the focal point is the table, chairs etc.) well, those are just my humble opinions. of course, this is woulr work and I really like the idea and the composition. This is a very enjoyable picture to look at. Keep up the good work. Ozan :)

Hi Ozan, Hi Guitta, thank you very much for your feed-back. Hudson River it is, btw. ;) I will keep your suggestions in mind, Ozan, and will probably redo the image as well. I think you're very right about the tricylce; that object was more of a goof anyway (just got trueSpace and was trying out importing .cob files into Vue). So, again: thanks. :=) ta, -Sascha.rb
