I wanted to print in something other than 8x11 so I used printroom.com based on the recommendation on Janet Parke's website (http://www.parkenet.org/jp/print.html).. I am very happy with the results. I ordered two 20x30 prints, a mug and a t-shirt on Friday 7/12. Just got it yesterday 7/16 and they look great. I will be doing a lot of business there.

Can you tell me what resolution you used? I've been looking on their site, and other than an image size based in pixels, I cannot see if they want 600dpi, 1200 dpi or what. Any info would be appreciated. :) Tina

I never found any info on DPI either. What I found (probably what you found also) was the max total resolution they support is 17,000,000.. so max would be 5000 x 3333 for a 2/3 aspect or 4750 x 3562 for a 3/4 for example. That is what I sent for the 30x20 print. For a mug or t-shirt or one of the other items obviously a lower res would be fine. They scale the image to the proper size if it is large. I took the 20x30 prints to have them framed and I think they are going to look spectacular.

I've had excellent results using EZPrints, www.ezprints.com. As far as DPI is concerned, I generally use 200 DPI and haven't had any problems. Some places will require higher DPI, but these are generally the more higher-end custom places. You should be able to get quality results using anything in the range of 150-300 DPI with the mass-market places like PrintRoom, EZPrints or Ofoto. Experiment to determine what is best for your needs.
