Hello Folks I have had the oppertunity to try out my friends older Wacom Digitizer II A5 tablet. I thought it was really cool. Just now I saw an online auction for a Wacom Graphire A6 Digitizer, combined mousepad/tablet. Its pressure sensitive and cordles. I was just wondering if its comparable to the older Digitizer or if its kinda "toyie" if you know what I mean... Thanks for any input... Kristian

I installed one of these for my great nieces (or are they grand nieces?), but didn't get a chance to use it much. The eraser end of the stylus was supported by the bundled application, but not KidPix. I'd say any tablet is an improvement, and it will be hard to beat the price.

I have read many good things about the Graphire. Apparently, they are very popular. I placed an order at Buy.com on Feb. 1, and they tell me it'll ship end of next week! I talked to Wacom, and they basically said the demand has been much greater than they anticipated, but they're shipping as fast as they can.

I just got my graphire today and so far it's cool. Takes a little getting used to though. For the money you just can't beat it. -JH.

I use a 6 by 8 Wacom Intuos and I love it. It has tilt sensitivity, 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, and is useable with the digital airbrush (dont have that yet) I had the 4 by 5 Artpad II previously, no tilt, 256 levels of 0sensitivity. The graphire is the updated version of the Artpad 4 by 5. It has 512 levels of sensitivity a cool mouse. I dont know if it has tilt but I dont think it does pretty slick looking too! Either your friends pad or the graphire would be a huge assist in any painting or drawing you may do. Eric Walters

I've also got the Intuos 6x8 and it's absolutely great. It's one of those things - you don't realise how much easier and better than a mouse (for drawing) they are until you actually use one. Then you kinda wonder how the hell you got by without one :) Paul

I got the Wacom Graphire about a month ago and it works really well. I don't take to change to well but once I got the hang of it I haven't looked back. Also I have found the tablets size perfect for my desktop...it just fits where my mousepad was :) Regards Eshal
